Progress Report on my challenge

Well, I am happy to say that I achieved what I had set out to do! I finished the piecing of the quilt and now working on the centers!

It was a challenge and I learned a lot! Biggest lesson  was to take small steps and stay in the moment.

I have managed to enjoy this quilt so far without getting frustrated.

Doesn't it look like a giant Ferris Wheel?

Can't wait to play more with all the patterns that are evolving in this quilt!

I am also proud to say that very talented quilt artist Melody Johnson started similar quilt after seeing my quilt. You can follow her progress and her beautiful work here

  9. Well here I am, looking for answers. I finished the seven spiderwebs I had planned and now want to join them and deal with those empty triangular spaces. Phew! This will be scary but I am taking your advice and staying in the moment...

  14. Oooh! I LOVE your String quilt! The wheel idea is clever. Have you by chance seen what Cathy of Cabbage Quilts in Australia did with Strings? You may wish to take a peek. Her idea is similar to yours, but different. Isn't quilting amazing...?! There are ALWAYS new things to see and try. I'm enjoying looking around on your blog. Thanks! ; )
