Well, I am happy to say that I achieved what I had set out to do! I finished the piecing of the quilt and now working on the centers!
It was a challenge and I learned a lot! Biggest lesson was to take small steps and stay in the moment.
I have managed to enjoy this quilt so far without getting frustrated.
Doesn't it look like a giant Ferris Wheel?
Can't wait to play more with all the patterns that are evolving in this quilt!
I am also proud to say that very talented quilt artist Melody Johnson started similar quilt after seeing my quilt. You can follow her progress and her beautiful work here

Well here I am, looking for answers. I finished the seven spiderwebs I had planned and now want to join them and deal with those empty triangular spaces. Phew! This will be scary but I am taking your advice and staying in the moment...
Wonderful!

Very impressive! I found your blog via the photo of your quilt on Flickr. I see you are a fairly new blogger. Welcome to Blogland!

Oooh! I LOVE your String quilt! The wheel idea is clever. Have you by chance seen what Cathy of Cabbage Quilts in Australia did with Strings? You may wish to take a peek. Her idea is similar to yours, but different. Isn't quilting amazing...?! There are ALWAYS new things to see and try. I'm enjoying looking around on your blog. Thanks! ; )
