Strings

I must be in the cleaning mood! Still using all those scraps from the scrap bins and looks like I am creating a monster! The scrap pile has gone down considerably and I am feeling pretty good about it! Now the question is, what to do with all those pieced strings?

 Bowls?

 Baskets?

Plates or something else?

  8. Trying to explain your magic to myself, in words, which is tough; I looked at enlargement of the wedge wheel. It seems you focus on using clear colors and avoid the grayed ones. You also use while, which I applaud. Sally

  10. Buffy,
I used all the strings I had in my bins and noticed one thing. I hardly use batiks in my quilts! I have used plenty gray and toned down colors but lately I seem to gravitate toward brights!
Use of white in my quilts come from the lesson learned while working with water colors. Keep the white space and the painting will be fresh.. Color everything and there will be no sunlight reflecting off the water or the flowers!
That has stuck with me through the years!

    Happy quilting!
