So frustrated!
Has it been that long since I worked on the machine? It can't be!
I can't find anything in my sewing room. The wedding was fun, three weeks of vacation and all... there was a long break before that too. But that is no reason to loose everything in the sewing room.
All I want to do, is piece a backing for this quilt. Find a white thread for the backing (machine is loaded with darker thread, which will not work) and baste this quilt. Is that really too much to ask?
I was so organized not too long ago.. I need some serious hours of getting back to sewing.
Focus... I need focus.. Hmmmm... need some stitch therapy... as soon as I find my glasses!
:-)

I know that feeling. Usually things get better if I spend a little time poking around my sewing room with no specific expectations. :-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't is funny how sometimes changing the thread in your sewing machine seems like a big job. Though it sounds like you've got a plan, now you just have to do it. Enjoy the purring of your sewing machine to soothe your soul.
ReplyDeleteI seriously love that quilt......
ReplyDeletelove it, this is gorgeous. I'm ashamed to admit just how little I've been getting done these days...
ReplyDeletechocolate will fix that I am sure...
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling but what a spectacular quilt!
ReplyDeletelove it. so good to get back to sewing.
ReplyDeleteThe top is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI spend so much time spinning my wheels looking for that thing I just had. Just take a breath, it will show up -- along with one or two other things you were looking for.
I can hardly wait to see this glorious work quilted and bound.
ReplyDeleteAnn, that's just what i am planning to do for this quilt - Lots and lots of hand stitches :)
DeleteLove the quilt!
ReplyDeleteHope you find your thread so you can get back in business! Your quilt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe're going to Boston May 15-18 for me daughter's graduation. When is Kavita done?
Oh...I can identify! Love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt! I love how it gets darker toward the bottom. I know you'll get back to it soon.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be back in the swing of it in no time and it will feel so good. Perhaps you feel like reorganising your sewing room in the mean time...
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! I love the gradual transition from light to shade. It must be a hard work that I can not imagine. Great!
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy your day.
Thank you!
DeleteThis is the first time I have deliberately placed the pieces in one of my confetti quilts. I like the way this one turned out but for me, it also took away the charm of spontaneity. I will do some non-deliberate hand stitching to remedy that.
Ditto... the light to dark arrangement really makes this work!
ReplyDeleteI know - it is so easy to feel "stuck" and disorganized in the sewing room after some time away - but some puttering around in there will do the trick. Meanwhile what a jewel-like beauty you have there - beautiful rich solids.
ReplyDeletegreat quilt composition. I'm sure by now you've basted it. It will be fun to quilt.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt with such a great diversity of colors ! I would love to see how you are quilting it.
ReplyDeleteTake care, dear Sujata.
Love this. I hate it when time starts to run away with you and before you know where you are, the year is half way through and you've hardly achieved anything.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up!
